Lighting Designer

Biography

Shara Abvabi received her BFA in Theatre design and technology at the University of Missouri- Kansas City in 2014. She has worked on various shows across the nation as a lighting designer, projection designer, and production manager. Her recent favorites include the Always… Patsy Cline National Tour,  God of Carnage directed by Gram Clifford, Little Shop of Horror directed by J. Bailey Burcham, Dogfight directed by Trisha Small, and Dick Van Dyke and the Vantastics directed by Arlene Silver. She has designed and programmed lights for concert artists such as Corinne Bailey Rae, LANY, Englebert Humperdink, and various EDM artists. She is currently the resident production manager and lighting designer for the Malibu Playhouse and a lighting and video designer for Rumba Room Live, the 2017 Live Design award winner for Best Venue Lighting. Shara thoroughly enjoys every chance she gets to design for those who share her love for creativity and collaboration! She is especially glad to be back again with Panic! Productions and sends all her love to the cast and crew!
